Embracing Our Interdependence With Nature

Balsam Pear

Green fruits and leaves are poisonous unless cooked.

A wild plant with many medicinal parts useful for a multitude of ills is poisonous unless cooked with the exception of the red coating around the seed which is sweet and delicious from unbroken ripe (orange) fruits. The seeds, also poisonous should be spit out, not eaten.
