Embracing Our Interdependence With Nature

Pineapple Patch

Pineapples are bromeliads. They grow close to the ground, make one fruit in a lifetime and then die and leave behind several pups which will make fruit the following season. The spiny top which we cut off before we eat the fruit can be planted to make another pineapple which will fruit after two years.
